My Private Getaway

What a weekend!

Well, normally my weekends aren't very eventful, but this one was, both with planned and unplanned things.

Friday- Well, it was a pretty good day. Roo ended up staying home because buses weren't running and I just didn't have the heart to wake my little one up yet again just to run 1 minute away to drop him off and ruin his sleep schedule for the rest of the day. So there were a few arguments between Roo and Gus Gus (which are normal, of course). Wulf also got off work early and even brought me home a hot steeped tea (I love when he surprises me like that). Well, after that my day went downhill, only because, while enjoying my tea and sharing something online with Wulf, I spilled the tea ALL over my Mac book!!!!! I cried, and panicked and cried some more! I am so worried that it will not work! I am doing my best to not think negatively, because Wulf said since it was working and we turned it off right away, to leave it for 2-3 days and let it all dry, then it should work fine once we turn it back on and he can clean the keys so they do not get sticky from the sugar. I will have to let you know in a day or two how it turns out. I am swiping Wulf's computer so I can check emails and post! I MISS MY MAC!!!!!
Also, I had planned with a friend to drop by and pick an ice chest up, that Wulf would pick up once he got off of work (remember he came home early). Needless to say I COMPLETELY forgot until about an hour and a half after he was suppose to be there (the whole computer thing threw me off). So I had to jump up in the freezing cold (oh, yes that was why buses weren't running it was COLD and all the wet had iced over.) and pick it up. I did get it, and thankfully she was understanding!

Saturday- A Girls Day Out! The plan was to get up at 6 a.m. and get a shower and dress my little one and head out my door by 6:45 a.m., pick up my two friends by 7 a.m. and head up to a town about an hour away and spend the day shopping.
Well, the day actually started out like this:
Wake up, looked at the time, 6:45 a.m.!!!! Jump out of bed, shout to Wulf "Here are the baby's clothes dress him, PLEASE!! I gotta hop in the shower NOW!!!".
Get my shower throw everything together, thanks to my pre-planning I already had the diaper bag ready and knew what outfit I was going to wear! Had Wulf go and start the van, cause again it was COLD. Load baby and head to pick up my friends. Finally have everyone and did a coffee stop, Now it's 7:30 a.m. (not too bad), and we head out. The rest of the day went well, we did our shopping and my baby decided he would poop three or four times each place we went, but it was ok, he didn't leak!!!!. I was able to get a few new nursing shirts and the boys Easter outfits. I went crazy at Costco though. I also got Wulf new pants and a few Watchmen shirts. The only thing we wanted to do, but didn't get a chance to was eat at Red Lobster, but we plan to go another time.

Now, today is Sunday, the day has just begun but we are hoping to get a few "responsible" things done, like pick up a few groceries, pay rent, and clean around the house! So, I will be off to begin!!!! Hope your weekend was fun and eventful, in a good way!!!

Niagara Falls

I know this is a tad late, but at least you are getting it!

On Valentine's Day weekend, we decided to go to the States to do some shopping and get a few things we love but cannot find here in Canada. We ended up staying in Niagara Falls.

On Friday, we went out and did so much shopping (well, I did and the guys tagged along). We were able to find so many deals, I got ALOT of movies for great prices (mainly because Circuit City was going out of business), Wulf got a few computer things that are really awesome (if you knew what exactly they did) and a new mouse which is top of the line (I only know this cause he said so), and our baby got a stroller and a bunch of clothes (I love shopping for babies!). Then we had dinner at Hard Rock Cafe, we had to go because Wulf collects the lighters from each one he has been to, but it was a good reason to go and have dinner :).

On Saturday, we were heading back home, but before we/I HAD to see the Falls! Growing up there were a few places I always wanted to go and see, Washington D.C. (and I got to live there for a few years), Europe and Ireland (which I am working on), California (also working on that one), Canada (I am living there now), and Niagara Falls!!!! Sorry just had to put that tid bit of info in there just to give you an idea of how extremely excited I was to go! And it was WONDERFUL!!!!! So, beautiful! most of the lake was frozen but the falls weren't! I can't wait to go again (which I plan on several times before we leave this area)! On the way home we stopped at Ikea (wonderful place!!) and I was able to finally get my bookshelves!!!!

So all in all a WONDERFUL weekend!!!!

Bad day...., try bad week!!!!!!

I am going to tell you about my week. Though most of it wasn't really bad it had it's moments!

Ok, so first on Monday I went about normally, got Roo off to school and went to take my shower before my little one woke up. As I was cleaning my ears after with a Q-tip, the cotton came off and was stuck in my ear!!!!! So, I could only think that if I couldn't get someone to help get it out I would have to go to the ER and have them do it. Thankfully (and to my embarrassment) My husband came home to extract the cotton from my ear so I could hear properly once more!

Now Thursday. I had a few errands to run. I got Roo off to school as normal, got my shower and got completely dress except my shirt, but I did have a cami on (I usually wear one underneath my shirts). Being winter and cold and all, I go and start our van once I have everything done except for waking my baby to get him dressed (I save it for last so I can dress and feed him while the van is warming). Being warmer nature than most, I went to start the van without my jacket, just in my cami and pants (I mean it only takes 3 seconds anyway!), and so out I go and it only takes 3 seconds, but Gus Gus, my 3-year-old decides to LOCK ME OUT!!!! So here I am in -20 degree cold in a cami locked out by a 3-year-old!!!! And screaming like a manic out in daylight, pleading for him to open the door for 5 minutes. Luckily I have my cell phone on me so again I call my husband who then calls my landlady so she can come and unlock my door, since she only lives a street away. Thankfully, Gus Gus decides to open the door after I get off the phone with my husband, so I get to call him back and tell him nevermind. Oh, and you may be wondering "well if you had your keys to start the van, why didn't you just unlock the door?" and the answer to that is..., because I have my van keys and house keys held together by a clip, because I have the little one, it's easier to separate and only take the van keys and have the house ones to lock up as I am bringing him out. So, they were inside, but never again will I start my van without having my house keys with me as well!!!

Now I hope you have had a good laugh! I can now laugh about it as well, though the days they happened...., It was so NOT funny! Though I'm sure you can sympathize!

It's been awhile....,

Well, I know I haven't blogged in forever!!!!! I found out that I was pregnant for the third time in Febuary. So, I have been figuring things out with that and I was so sick this time around. I also have been searching and looking around to be able to try another VBAC. I ended up finding a doctor who would let me do it, but he is in the states so I had to plan going to the states, when, and what will i do about Roo's school, etc.

We have all that figured out and I am due at the end of this month. I also have a doula this time and I have been reading about VBAC's and meeting with her along with my regular doctor appointments and all the stuff with the two I have (kids keep you busy). We have been visiting with family as well. I tried to find out the sex of the baby, but after 3 ultrasounds and no luck, we have figured that we are meant to be surprised this time. So, the shopping I would do in preparaing is being put on hold until after the little one gets here. I wouldn't mind neutral stuff for a boy (since I already have 2) but in the event that this one is a girl, I am going ALL pink and purple and the neutral just won't do :).

Well, I just wanted to say hi and hopefully I can keep up again with my posting even though I am going to be busy adjusting to 3 kids, a new baby, and the schedule once we get back to Canada!!

Tell Me, How Does This Seem Right?

This struck me and has me steaming, The government is trying to make it illegal to spank your kids; but that isn't why I am so upset, I would definitly LOVE to have never and never again spank or yell. I know not to spank out of anger so I see where that plays alot into being judged for spanking but thats not my issue.I find it so annoying the fact that it is everywhere that spanking your kids is a horrible thing..., blah, blah, blah; but I cannot find where all these people give you other ways to discipline. I know of 2 and they are the only ways I can find and believe me I have looked and I am STILL looking. The 2 ways are time out and redirect. Which I will agree can and do work in situations, but there are SO many that those 2 will not and do not work. I will give an example: One of my children woke up in the middle of the night wanting to get in the bed with us, we told him no and put him back in his bed. He then started to scream, yell, and cry there by waking up the other child and still not going to bed. Now I can see that you would take the child and just keep putting him in his bed till he stays..., but how do you when he is screaming at the top of his lungs and kicking and the other child is in the same room? How do you get the point across that you have to listen and stay in your bed and it's not okay to scream?

Thats another thing..., how do you stop a child from screaming ALL the time (happy and not-so-happy screams)? I am getting to the end of my rope. I would not mind trying ANY other techniques just where are they?

Okay, so I've said my piece you can either agree or not.., I don't care.

You Know Your States

You got 10/10 correct.

You've got a pretty good handle on US geography.
There's a good chance you've visited at least a dozen of the fifty states.

You are sometimes a very energetic person, but you are sometimes quite lethargic. You're moody, prone to ups and downs, and you don't have a lot of endurance.

You range from very outgoing to very shy. You are a shapeshifter who is very versatile. You adapt well, and you look at things from many angles.

You are extravagant, over the top, and indulgent. You set trends and influence people.

You don't a lot of space, and you prefer to spend time with others. You are a little nosy and intrusive. You sometimes don't give people enough space.

You are a free thinker. You are unique, open minded, and artistic. You don't care what other people think.

You are a decent communicator. You eventually get your point across, but sometimes you leave things a bit ambiguous.
